DODSON SET FOR USAC DOUBLE DUTY AT PHOENIX

GREENFIELD, IN (November 7, 2007) – Nineteen year-old Cameron Dodson is ready to conclude his debut USAC Silver Crown™ season at the “Copper World Classic”.  The famed capstone will be held at the one-mile paved oval of Phoenix (AZ) International Raceway.  Dodson will have a full schedule as he will not only compete in the USAC Silver Crown™ race, but also the USAC Midget companion event.

Going in to the homestretch, the Hoosier native and his No. 199 Carl Edwards Racing/R.E. Technologies’ team have earned a trio of podium finishes, five Top-5s and seven Top-10s in only eleven starts as well as fast qualifier honors at New Hampshire International Speedway.

Entering the “Copper World Classic”, Dodson is also ranked in the Top-10 in USAC Silver Crown™ driver’s points, fifth in owner’s standings and is leading the rookie of the year honors.

“Chris Santucci and the Carl Edwards Racing/R.E. Technology team delivered a great car for Kansas and we were able to bring home a third place finish and I believe we are capable of a similar performance at Phoenix,” commented Dodson.  “The history and prestige of the Copper World Classic makes this race a perfect finale for our season.  It has been a huge honor to work with the No. 199 team – I hope we can end the season on a high note.”

As a precursor to his Silver Crown main event, Cameron will pilot the 71X Beast USAC midget of Keith Kunz Motorsports.

“I’m happy to reunite with Keith Kunz Motorsports for another USAC midget race,” Dodson added.  “He is one of the best in the business and we work well together as a team.  I know the KKM team will give me a car capable of winning and hopefully the added laps in both divisions will pay off well for both Silver Crown™ and midgets.  I couldn’t as for a better group of people to work with than Keith (Kunz) and Chris (Santucci).  I learn so much from them each time we are at the track so I am very honored to be able to drive for them at the Copper World.”

Cameron Dodson’s race schedule will commence at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, November 8th, with USAC Midget practice and not conclude until the checkers fall on the USAC Silver Crown finale.  USAC Midget qualifying is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. that same day and is immediately followed by the two-lap qualifying procedures of the USAC Silver Crown™ division.  The twenty-five lap USAC Midget Race will start promptly at 7:45 p.m. and act as a great warm-up for the final event of the Carl Edwards Racing/R.E. Technologies’ season as the green flag for the USAC Silver Crown™ portion of the “Copper World Classic” is scheduled to immediately follow at approximately 8:30 p.m.  Full event schedules and more information are posted online at http://www.usacracing.com or http://www.phoenixinternationalraceway.com.  More information on Cameron Dodson can be found by logging on to http://www.camerondodson.com
