ADVANCES TO 3rd IN POINTS
Cameron Dodson shined in his hometown K&N USAC Silver Crown Championship Series debut at the O'Reilly Raceway Park - Indianapolis for the "J.D Byrider 100". Dodson, of nearby Greenfield, IN, was slotted to compete with a different team for the weekend as car owner Carl Edwards was going to wheel the #199 R.E. Technologies C&R Ford. However, Edwards suffered a hand injury earlier in the week and Dodson received word that he would be back in his familiar seat. "To race at home is always a thrill - especially when tied into the excitement of the Brickyard," commented Dodson. "I hated to hear that I was going to drive because Carl got hurt but it was also a relief to know that I would have Varl, Chris Santucci and my regular crew onboard with me and we were going into ORP a real contender for the win."
